Reagent grade Thiourea (thiocarbamide, CH₄N₂S) is a powerful sulfur-donating complexing agent. It forms stable complexes with silver, gold and other transition metals, making it ideal for silver recovery from spent solutions and for metal surface treatment processes.

How It Works

Dissolve Thiourea in dilute sulfuric acid to prepare the leaching or complexing solution.
Silver and base metals dissolve by forming stable thiourea complexes.
Recover the precious metal by cementation, electrowinning or precipitation.
